Advancing equitable justice through advocacy and reform

IMPARTE advances fair sentencing and criminal justice reform through community education, advocacy, and evidence-based research, standing with the individuals and families the system leaves behind.

Why IMPARTE exists

IMPARTE is a nonprofit advancing equitable justice through community education, advocacy, and systemic reform. We exist because outcomes in similar cases too often depend on who a person is rather than what actually happened, and because those most affected by the system are rarely the ones shaping it.

We stand with the individuals and families impacted by the criminal legal system, and we work to end disproportionate sentencing through verified research, transparency, and policies grounded in dignity, public safety, and rehabilitation.

What we do

Research & Transparency

We conduct verified judicial research comparing outcomes in similar cases, bringing accountability to how justice is administered.

Advocacy & Reform

We push for systemic change and policies that make the criminal legal system fairer, more proportionate, and evidence-based.

Sentencing Reform

We work to end disproportionate sentencing and ensure trauma, disability, and lived history count as real mitigating factors.

Support & Education

We stand with impacted individuals and families, and build public awareness through education and community engagement.

Behind every case is a person

When you give to IMPARTE, you stand with a family facing a system that rarely stands with them. Your support fuels the research, advocacy, and education that turn single cases into lasting reform, and help justice reflect dignity, not circumstance.

Change doesn't happen on its own

Reform takes research, advocacy, and people willing to stand behind it. Your gift today helps IMPARTE keep fighting for a justice system that’s fair, humane, and accountable, for the people who need it most.
